I was discharged from the adult psychiatric ward last summer and have been under the care of the Early Intervention in Psychosis team in Ballymote since then. I have found them to be very friendly and supportive.
Dr. McGuire is very friendly and kind. Tara has been my keyworker and she couldn't be more helpful. I met with Tara weekly and she guided me through the coping skills workbook which has been very useful and interesting. In hindsight I can appreciate how patient Tara was at the start when I did not recognise that I was suffering from psychosis at all. Andy has also been very helpful and kind in family therapy which I attend with a family member.
Overall I couldn't be happier with the help I have received. I am very grateful for the support the EIP team has given me and I never felt alone after discharge.
